Who doesn't ever want healthy, thick, and bouncy hair? This is one of the most common beauty concerns and the anxiety that builds with trying to be perfect often has us resorting to chemical-laden products or unnecessary treatments that eventually damage our hair. Uhhgg!
But guess what? There are better and simple ways to get pretty hair that are pure. Castor oil is one of them.
Castor oil is the pale yellow liquid extracted from castor seeds and is very rich in antioxidants. You may have not known this but castor oil is a natural beauty ingredient that can solve most of your hair problems.
According to Himanshu Chadha, Director, APS Cosmetofood, “Castor oil has been an age-old remedy for hair related issues. It is an elixir for beautiful hair. Castor oil contains Vitamin E, proteins, and Omega 6 & 9 that are the key components responsible for good hair. It helps in the reduction of hair fall, premature greying of hair, fights any scalp related problems along with accelerating hair growth."
In addition to this, castor oil is also known for its anti-bacterial properties and various medicinal benefits. It is believed that most of castor oil’s benefits are derived from its high concentration of unsaturated fatty acids”.
When using castor oil for hair growth, try rubbing just a few drops of the oil into your scalp. You can also massage a few additional drops of castor oil into your hair’s midsection and ends, which, as earlier mentioned, can protect against breakage and improve hair texture.
Although the ideal timing for castor-oil-based hair masks is unknown, letting the oil sit for about two hours may be beneficial. To prevent oil drippings from staining your clothing and other items, consider covering your head with a shower cap until it’s time to wash your hair and it's best to wear only old clothes that you do not mind staining. Your hair may need more than one application of shampoo to completely remove the castor oil
Castor oil benefits your hair in ways more than one and is available in all hair products stores, get one and thank me later.
