Step by step makeup tutorial guide to becoming a pro

Do you have the perfect makeup products to achieve a good look but have never tried makeup on your own because you have no idea as to the right order of application? If yes, keep reading to know more.

When it comes to makeup application, there is a general order of procedure. I mean, you cannot apply a moisturizer after foundation application. Hell no, you'll ruin the entire makeup!

This post is a simplified stepwise guide to help you apply your makeup like a pro.

First off,

Moisturizer:

Cleanse and moisturize your face. It’s important that the face always stays hydrated and moisturized. There is a vast array of moisturizers suitable for the skin type you can choose from. Each of them is formulated with hyaluronic acid and aloe vera water for long-lasting hydration. Check  L'Oréal Paris Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care for Normal/Oily SkinL'Oréal Paris Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care for Normal/Dry Skin, or L'Oréal Paris Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care for Extra Dry Skin.

Warm the moisturizer between your palms and massage in a circular motion to penetrate the skin.

This is the first step to a clean makeup process.

Primer

Many people skip this very important stage. Have you ever wondered how people wear their makeup all day and it looks as good as it was when originally applied? That’s the effect of applying the primer. It helps you retain your makeup for the longest possible time without creasing, especially on a warm day. Gently pat the primer all over your face before you apply the foundation.

Foundation

The choice depends on your skin shade and how easy you find any of them. Find your perfect shade of foundation by testing on the back of your hand and compare shade with your chest. Distribute the foundation using your finger, foundation brush, or a blender all over your face and blend onto the neck.

Concealer

A little does the trick. Avoid applying too much for easy blending. Using your concealer brush or finger, apply concealer under your eyes, in the shape of a triangle, to hide the dark circles and any other part of your face with blemishes or red spots. Leave the concealer on your face for a few minutes to set while you draw your brows.

Eyebrow

Start by shaping with an eyebrow stencil and fill with an eye pencil. Create a well-defined arch and use concealer below your brows to clean out the rough edges.

Highlighter, bronzer, and blush

Create a natural-looking blush at the highest point of your cheeks, extending up towards the temples.

Brighten the top of your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, brow bone, the center of your forehead and chin, inner corners of your eyelids, and the cupid’s bow using your highlighter.

Use a contour powder to add dimension to your complexion. Swipe the powder along the hollow of your cheekbones.

Eye shadow

With an amazing L'Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Metallics Eye Shadows palette, you can create any look you desire, ranging from a natural look to a shimmery smoky eye look. The eyeshadow is what gives you a different look each time.

If you haven’t mastered the use of eye shadow brushes yet, you can use your fingers to blend your colors to create a chic look.

Lay the foundation of your crease with an eye shadow primer to keep your eyeshadow popping all day. After using the color similar to your skin as a base, give your makeup definition by applying the colors you want, and then blend.

Mascara

Curl your lashes first, twist the wand out of the tube, then wiggle the mascara wand slowly through your lashes from the root outward about thrice to achieve a fuller look. Be careful not to smear.

Lipstick

Apply a matte L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Matte Lipstick or glossy lipstick L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Shine Lipstick using a lip brush. Top it off with a lip balm.

C'est finis. Congratulations! And you have that chic, ready to slaaaaay.
